We use your data to ensure our marketing remains relevant and to avoid showing you advertisements for products or services you have already purchased or subscribed to. To achieve this, we share limited, pseudonymised (hashed) customer data with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd ("Meta") to create "Custom Audiences" and "Exclusion Audiences".

This process matches identifiers (such as your email address or phone number) with Meta’s user database. Meta does not see your plain text data; it is securely scrambled (hashed) locally on your device or browser before it is transmitted. If you have an account with Meta, Meta uses this hash to exclude you from our ad campaigns. If you do not have a Meta account, the hashed data is instantly deleted.

2. Web Tracking, Meta Pixel, and Conversions API (CAPI)

Our website, hosted via Wix, utilizes the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (CAPI). These tools track your behavior on our website (such as pages visited, items added to a basket, or completed purchases) and send this information directly to Meta. 

We use this data to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to build custom exclusion lists. Because this data is sent directly from our servers via CAPI, it bypasses browser-based ad blockers. However, we only activate these tracking mechanisms if you grant us explicit consent via our website's cookie consent banner.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

  • For Website Tracking (Pixel & CAPI): Our legal basis for processing this data is your Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), which you grant or deny via our cookie banner.

  • For Subscriber List Uploads (CSV): Our legal basis is your Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), obtained at the point you ticked the marketing opt-in box when subscribing.

4. International Data Transfers

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd may transfer data to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside of the UK and EEA, we rely on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
